Testing Weapons: Is there a way?
Is there a way to test UN ID weapons?
If so how? I am specifically looking at a Bow, with a requirement of 8. I am unsure of how to apporach this situation. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, I am looking for Damage mods, not weapon mods. Thanks in advance. 1nf1n1ty |

yeah u can, i use to use the Gargoyles outside ascalon. but go to training area at baltazar temple. to explain ill stick with axes. but works with any weapon. u need a few axes. all max dmg identified. have 1 15%^50 and maybe like a few 12,13,14%^50 etc. u need a pen and paper. keep hitting a target with the 15%^50 axe, write down the max dmg it will do. do that with all the axes u can like a 12%^50, 13%^50 etc. and write down the max dmg each 1 will do. now alls u need is to keep hitting with your unidentified axe and c what the max dmg hit it will do. takes a while but once u know what u r doing. if u hit and realise no bonus try putting on an enchantment or stance.
also health mods on shields and weapons r very easy simply check your health and equip. |

Ahh, I think i figured it out...
But it works like this. Take a Sin/Ranger... 12 in marksmanship, 12 in critical strikes. write down the critical strike damage, because that is always the same, and always hit the same target. like always 100 armor or something. I figured the unid does 20dmg, and a 15^50 does 23 dmg...so its not a 15^50.. or anything above 50. Im going to bring a friend along who can do enchantments and stances for me..probally a w/mo Thanks for your help. but I need more bows to test.... |

Actually, enchants/hexes are easy. Stand by the torches in the Isle of the Nameless to get enchants/hexes on you.
For stance, bring Tiger's Fury. for vs. hexed, bring something like Mark of Instability. The only mod you can't test for alone easily is 15%/-10 AL while attacking. Have a friend bring Wild Blow and scrimmage you, then compare damage when you are and are not attacking. |

i really wish that all mods on weapons didnt work until they were identified, thats the way it should b. selling unidentified weapons would totally change then. coz its only really only unidentified to those not in the know.
only 2 types of people buying uniden weapons, people after the title and noobs who dont know. |
